Las Vegas Metro Police continue their search for the device used to illegally tape a conversation between Las Vegas Township Constable John Bonaventura and Clark County Commissioner Tom Collins. Yesterday Metro authorities searched the offices of Constable Bonaventura as well as an undisclosed private residence, but found nothing. The investigation started after the release of a recorded phone call between Bonaventura and commissioner Collins. In it, Collins made crude remarks toward two other commissioners.
In Nevada it is illegal to record a conversation without authorization. No arrests have been made.
