Jim Rogers left a huge mark on education and media in Nevada. He owned and operated KSNV Channel 3 and many other TV stations throughout the West, served as the ninth chancellor of the Nevada System of Higher Education, and emerged as a forceful advocate for public education in Nevada.
He passed away Saturday night following a long battle with cancer.
