Governors Talk Drought

Western governors are meeting in Colorado Springs to talk and issues like the environment and drought are expected to dominate the conversation. Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper and Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval are hosting the meeting, which started Monday, at The Broadmoor Hotel.

The Environmental Protection Agency's Gina McCarthy is scheduled to speak to the governors today. Last week she announced big cuts in pollution produced by the country's power plants. The other governors attending include Jan Brewer of Arizona, along with the governors from Idaho, Kansas, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah and Wyoming.
