Frias Warns Cabbies Against Uber

Frias Transportation, owners of five cab companies in southern Nevada, has warned its employees - don't work for companies like Uber, Sidecar or Lyft. The mobile-app ride share companies are not officially in Las Vegas. But, some cabbies have complained that these services are being used in Las Vegas. The Las Vegas Review Journal reports that Frias has posted a warning to its drivers that anyone caught using their cars to provide these services can face fines or have their car impounded. Ride share companies claim they are simply connecting riders with drivers. The Nevada Taxicab Authority says it will impound cars providing the service because they are not licensed to provide the service.
