The Clark County Commission approved more than a hundred applications to grow and cultivate medical marijuana. In a seven-hour public hearing, the commission approved 58 applications to groups wanting to grow marijuana in unincorporated Clark County.
The commission also approved another 38 permits to manufacture marijuana edibles and oils, as well as five applications to operate quality control labs. There is a cap on the number of dispensaries allowed in a municipality but no such cap on things like manufacturing facilities. Applicants will now go through a separate state licensing process that begins in August.
