Baccarat Revenue Up

Baccarat is helping boost Nevada's gaming revenues. The latest numbers are out showing the state's gaming revenue was up 8.1 percent in May compared to the same month last year. Casinos recorded more than $970 million in May with 17-percent coming from baccarat.

Representatives from the Nevada Gaming Control Board also said the Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight at the MGM Grand and the Kentucky Derby helped boost figures. The consistent increases mean the state's taxable gaming revenue has increased by half a percent in the last 12 months.
