RNC Ready To Reduce List Of Contenders For National Convention

The Republican National Committee is expected to narrow down the list of contenders bidding to host the GOP national convention in 2016. RNC officials are reviewing reports from site visits, including the one to Las Vegas in April. During that visit the team checked out the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The group may announce the short list by May 22. Las Vegas is one of six cities still in the running to host the convention. The others are Denver, Dallas, Cincinnati, Cleveland and Kansas City.
