Rep. Titus Proposes Bill To Extend Sexual Trauma Counselling For Reservists

There's a bill moving through Congress that will extend sexual trauma counseling for National Guard and other reserve members. Yesterday, the bill proposed by Representative Dina Titus and co-authored by Rep. Jeff Miller of Florida, passed in the House.

As of now the military doesn't provide reserve members with counseling for sexual trauma while on training missions. This bill passes amid the scandal that plagues the Veterans Affairs department. It is unclear how the Senate will approach this issue.
