Las Vegas Unfriendly To Pedestrians

Being a pedestrian in Las Vegas is dangerous and a new report confirms it. The National Complete Streets Coalition and Smart Growth America published its Dangerous by Design report. In it, Las Vegas-Paradise ranks 13th most dangerous metro area to walk.

There are 1.85 pedestrian deaths per 100 thousand people in Las Vegas. The level of danger for pedestrians in southern Nevada is almost double than the national average. The report doesn't focus on specific intersections or roads. The most dangerous city to be a pedestrian is Orlando, Florida; the safest is Boston.
