Political junkies, don't get your hopes up just yet. Las Vegas made the short list for the Republican National Convention and the Entertainment Capital of the World is on a longer list of cities that Democrats might choose to meet in. But, says James Bernstein, don't get your hopes up just yet. In fact, he says, the chances are zero that either major party will come to Las Vegas because it's all risk and no reward.
