Ode To Video Games: The Blue Wizard Is About to Die

Seth Flynn Barkan spent much of his time growing up playing arcade games. He loved them so much he wrote poems about them and sketched the heroes of the games. The poems were published a decade ago and have recently been republished. Barkan joins us to talk about the golden age of video gaming and why those games should live forever.

You won’t find a paywall here. Come as often as you like — we’re not counting. You’ve found a like-minded tribe that cherishes what a free press stands for. If you can spend another couple of minutes making a pledge of as little as $5, you’ll feel like a superhero defending democracy for less than the cost of a month of Netflix.
