Last year, Nevada’s economy was a story about green shoots, planting seeds, new beginnings.
Coming on the heels of a prolonged recession, these green shoots were tiny at the time. And invisible to many. Well according to Applied Analysis economist Jeremy Aguero, 2013 was a year for planting seeds. This year, he tells us, is a year for reaping economic harvests.
Arguero says new businesses are starting up; jobs have been created. The value of residential housing has bounced back, and Southern Nevada's population has increased 100,00 0 over the last two years, Arguero wrote in his annual Las Vegas Perspective report.
