Plane Safety Compromised By Lasers

It almost sounds like a harmless prank, but it’s actually a safety problem so widespread that last week the FBI launched a national campaign to stop it.

It’s the practice of aiming a laser at aircraft, and according to the FBI it happens an average of 11 times a day.

Commercial laser pointers can distract and temporarily blind pilots, putting the safety of the passengers at risk. Las Vegas is in the top ten in the country for experiencing these types of laser incidents.
