The Erotic Heritage Museum closed its doors permanently last week. Visitors can no longer tour the displays of classic porn films and vintage erotica.
When the museum was founded, retired Methodist minister and erotica collector Ted McIlvena was the man with the vision and strip club owner Harry Mohney had the cash. Now, says McIlvena, Mohney is misrepresenting the deal that the curators of the museum had with their chief benefactor.
Although the Museum has been plagued by staff changes and financial woes for years, at the heart of the museum’s final chapter is a partnership between a pastor and a pornographer that turned sour.
