California's Water Grab

Recently, California declared a drought emergency. That will affect the western states that share water from the Colorado River. Under the river compact, California will now take even more water from Lake Mead. And that will put the squeeze on the reservoir – possibly leading to water restrictions in Nevada and Arizona.
