Searching For Genghis Khan

Genghis Khan was one of the great figures of history.  He led armies that conquered the greatest empires. Yet no one has ever found his tomb. The burial site containing the warrior’s remains is thought to be in a place known as the Forbidden Zone, near the mountains bordering Russia.

Albert Yu-Min Lin has been trying to find that site.  But this isn’t archeology the way Indiana Jones did it.  Lin is using satellites, GPS and even social media to try and find the site.  His work has earned him the Desert Research Institute’s 2014 Nevada Medal, an award given for research and science exploration.
