Shutdown Rolls Downhill: Impacts on Nevada

Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval has said that critical state-run programs will run out of moneyto serve children, seniors,  veterans and the needy unless Congress solves the federal shutdown soon.

The governor has also warned that the state lacks the money to reopen, on its own tab, federal recreation sites in Nevada including Lake Mead, Great Basin National Park and the Red Rock National Conservation Area.
