Job Satisfaction = Meaning + Money

"Casino dealer" ranked almost as low as "gas station attendant" in a survey by Payscale.com that ranked jobs by whether people in those jobs believe their work makes the world a better place.

Other careers that ranked low in meaning include airline reservation agent, associate fashion designer and coffee shop manager.

At the other end of the spectrum, jobs that ranked high in meaning included child life specialist, worship coordinator, dermatologist and water plant operator.

However, job meaning is not synonymous with job satisfaction. The latter also takes pay into account.
