Sunlight Foundation Untangles Immigration Lobbying Web

A new report from the non-profit Sunlight Foundation reveals a complicated web of lobbying groups all vying for influencein the shaping of a comprehensive immigration reform bill. A bipartisan group of U.S. Senators is currently working on a bill that could be released next week.  The Sunlight Foundation found that minority and ethinic groups are the most active among lobbying groups, while agriculture jobs and the Dream Act are the most active issues. We'll talk with the report's author about what kind of influence these groups get for their money and whether or not they are effective in crafting legislation.
