Las Vegas Constable Arrested, Commission Considers Abolishing Office

Las Vegas Township Constable John Bonaventura was arrested for suspected DUI this week. After his arrest, the Review Journal posted a video interview online in which Bonaventura suggests he may have been setup by Clark County officials. The Clark County Commission this week announced they would consider a measure that would abolish the constable's office alltogether.  Bonaventura has come under fire for alleged mismanagement of his office and has been criticized for a profanity-filled video discovered online that appeared to be a reality show pilot. Bonaventura also drew criticism when he allegedly sent deputies to Carson City to offer protection for embattled Assemblyman Steven Brooks. How do Bonaventura's latest troubles affect the future of his office?
