Assemblyman Brooks Arrested Again, Legislature Prepares To Act

The troubles surrounding Democratic Assemblyman Steven Brooks escalated on Sunday when he was arrested on domestic violence charges. The Review Journal reports Brooks allegedly pulled his wife's hair and attempted to grab an officer's gun when police showed up at his home just after midnight. This is the second time Mr. Brooks has been arrested this year. In January he was arrested for allegedly making threats against Assembly Speaker Marilyn Kirkpatrick. Brooks was also detained for psychiatric evaluation shortly after his first arrest.

Meantime, a select committee of the legislature has been appointed to investigate Brooks' behavior which could result in his expulsion from the Assembly. Majority Leader William Horne will chair that committee and he joins us to talk about the latest on Steven Brooks.
