For your pool:
- Regularly skim leaves and debris. This saves wear and tear on the filter.
- Clean the lint baskets.
- Add adequate chlorine, and chemicals for ph, hardness, and alkalinity.
- Keep the water circulating and appropriately treated.
For your air conditioning:
- If there’s something wrong with your air conditioner, there’s a 50/50 chance it’s your condenser fan motor.
- Number one reason for an AC mishap? Failure to regularly change the filters.
- To save money on AC use – keep the temp as high as you can stand it – this is costs less than turning off the air conditioning when you’re not home.
- If you have an outdoor AC unit, clean off the condenser coil with a garden hose in the spring time.
- Wall units can be as effective as central air, and generally are more efficient to operate.
