Host Jo Koy arrives at the 81st Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, Jan. 7, 2024, at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Jo Koy has come a long way since he first started doing stand-up in a Las Vegas coffee house.

The Asian American comedian has since gone on to become a regular on the Chelsea Lately talk show. He’s also one of the few comedians to get a standing ovation on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

He’s not afraid to make fun of his Asian heritage, from stereotypes about bad drivers to his mom’s accent.

We talk to Koy about getting his start in Vegas, and how he can make mocking his ethnicity so funny.

Guest: Jo Koy, comedian
