Heads up! Due to a geomagnetic storm this weekend, KNPR's signals may experience intermittent disruptions throughout the state. Our engineers are keeping a close eye on it.

Las Vegas Philharmonic at the Smith Center

The city's master singers ring in a new chapter of Las Vegas history by performing at the Smith Center.  We talk with LV Philharmonic conductor David Itkin, soprano Marie Plette, and the Smith Center's 'acoustic architect' Paul Scarborough about the magic of sound inside the new center.

Marie Plette, Eugenie Grunewald, the Las Vegas Master Singers, the UNLV Concert Singers & Chamber Chorale, and Southern Nevada Musical Arts Society will perform Mahler's Resurrection Symphony on Saturday, March 24, at the Smith Center.  Doors open at 7 p.m.
