Raising Math Scores with Computer Games

The California-based MIND Research Institute partnered with the Clark County School District in 2009 to bring it's "ST Math" program to CCSD classrooms. The program uses computer games to teach math concepts. "ST Math" has seen some success in Clark County, with at least seven schools seeing improved test scores and more students achieving proficiency. The program is now being used in 32 schools with the district hoping to expand that. How do computer games help improve test scores? We talk with the Mind Research Institute's president of education about how the program works.
