Arizona State University program takes Family Approach for Getting Latinas into College

Latinas in the U.S. are attending college at a higher rate than their male counterparts and are as successful as their white male counterparts. The Hispanic Mother Daughter Program at Arizona State University accepts mothers and daughters together for a program to prepare young Latinas for college and more than half the girls who participate end up in college. We discuss what works at ASU and why family is key for college success among Latinas.
