Teaching Class from the Deep Sea

Sharon Pearson believes she teaches her students best when she's far away - say, 8000 miles away.  On a ship.  Deep at sea.  That's because Sharon is one of the few teachers chosen to explore the ocean aboard Nautilus, a research vessel off the coast of Israel.  (The program is run by Dr. Robert Ballard, the scientist who discovered the Titanic.)  She lived there for four months, and taught class via satellite to local Sandy Miller Elementary Students.  Sharon talks about teaching at sea, and what it's like when "10,000 Leagues Under the Sea" becomes a real-life adventure.
