The Rise of Poverty in Las Vegas

Between 2000 and 2009 poverty in Las Vegas rose sharply. According to new data from the U.S. Census in that time about 32,000 people moved into high poverty neighborhoods in Las Vegas. So what were the contributing factors to increased poverty? Alan Berube, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution joins us to discuss why poverty rose so sharply since 2000.
