Washoe Superintendent, Heath Morrison talks education success in Northern Nevada

The Washoe County School District has seen enormous improvements in graduation rates. According to the Washoe County School District, graduation rate climbed 14 percentage points in the two-year period from 56 percent to 70 percent. That's after a four-year period between 2006-2009 when the graduation rate remained stagnant between 55 and 57 percent. Washoe Superintendent, Heath Morrison says his goal is to get the graduation rate above 80 percent. Washoe County School District Superintendent, Heath Morrison joins us to talk about what's working in his district.
