Learning to Read at 47

Miguel Rodriguez is 47.  He's got a job, plus a wife and 2 kids.  He pushed his kids to finish school.  But he didn't tell them one thing: he couldn't read.  In fact, Miguel can only read at a fourth grade level.  Over his life, he's hid his illiteracy and asked other people to fill out forms for him.  Now he's learning to read through a LVCCLD programInternational Literacy Dayis Sept. 8, 2011.  Miguel Rodriguez talks about how he hid his situation, his shame over the times he was ridiculed, and why he decided to learn to read at 47.
