In the commercial for Sketchers "Shape-Ups" shoes, a beautiful actress twirls around, happy that her shoes provide extra tone and workout her muscles (right as the camera zooms in on her butt). But are Shape-Ups better than the average shoe? UNLV professor John Mercer doesn't think so. He tested out Shape-Ups and other shoes in his running lab. He tells us the surprising results, and which shoes are best for exercise... and our butts.
