Washoe County Manager, Katy Simon

All around Nevada, counties are planning on how to deal with the financial pinch from Gov. Brian Sandoval's budget plan. In Washoe County the impact means services will be cut and jobs are likely to be lost. Washoe County has already had to cut about 17 percent of its workforce and will likely face a $50-million-dollar budget deficit over the next two years if the Sandoval plan is implemented. County officials say they are already planning for what's to come. We talk with Washoe County Manager, Katy Simon about Washoe County's budget as we continue our look at how the state budget will impact counties around Nevada.
