The Blue Diner

This week marks the beginning of National Hispanic Heritage Month. In Las Vegas it will be celebrated with a parade to honor contributions of Hispanic Americans. Marking the beginning of National Hispanic Heritage Month, PBS affiliates all over the nation broadcast 'The Blue Diner'. It's an independent film that portrays many of the very real cultural conflicts Hispanics in America face today. Recently the film's director, producer and writer Natatcha Estebanez was in Las Vegas for the premiere. Ky Plaskon spoke to her about The Blue Diner, what it says about Latinos and the responsibility of Latino story tellers.
