LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police in Las Vegas say an inmate at the Clark County Detention Center has died.
Officers responded to the cell of the 60-year-old man Friday when correctional officers said he fell off a bench but declined medical attention.
About an hour earlier, police say the inmate had refused his medication and lunch. Police say other inmates yelled for help later when the man was seen slumped over.

The inmate was taken to a Las Vegas hospital where he died. Police say the man had been booked into the jail Thursday on charges of trespassing and drug possession.
His name and cause and manner of death will be released by the county coroner's office after his family is notified.
