Nevada Voter Registration Increased Slightly In February

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Nevada saw a slight increase in registered voters in February, when more voters signed up as nonpartisan than with any political party.

New numbers from the Nevada Secretary of State's Office on Monday show the number of registered voters grew by 8,170 people last month.

That's about half a percentage point increase and brings the total number of registered voters to 1,805,554. Nonpartisan registrations grew by 6,264 people.

The Democratic Party saw a net loss of 100 voters and the Republican Party saw a net loss of 1,962 voters. Democrats comprise 36% of Nevada's registered voters while Republicans comprise 32%. Nonpartisan voters make up 25% of the voters.
