Man Arrested After Punch Leads To Death On Las Vegas Strip

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Las Vegas police say a man has died after he was punched while walking along the Strip.

Authorities say the deadly incident happened Sunday just before 4:30 a.m. near the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road. Officers looking at real-time crime cameras happened to see the encounter.

They say 33-year-old Brandon Leath began yelling at the victim and a woman as they were crossing a pedestrian bridge.

A verbal altercation ensued. That's when Leath allegedly punched the victim, causing him to fall to the ground and lose consciousness. Leath is being held on suspicion of murder. It wasn't immediately known if he had an attorney.
