Las Vegas-Area Schools Latest To Reopen Among Large US Districts

LAS VEGAS (AP) — When school bells ring Monday, Las Vegas will become the latest of the nation's largest districts to return kids to classrooms during the coronavirus pandemic.

Pre-K to third graders will be on two-days-per-week "hybrid" in-person schedules in the Clark County School District. Other grades will be phased in before April 6.

Reopening schools and resuming sports has inflamed passions in the district with 336 school campuses covering an area nearly the size of New Jersey.
