LAS VEGAS (AP) — Super Bowl wagers in Nevada totaled more than $136 million, and sports books reaped almost $12.6 million with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers upset victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.
That's according to Nevada Gaming Control Board figures made public Tuesday. The 9.2% in winnings for sports books was the fourth-highest over the last 10 years.
The Chiefs went into Sunday's game as a 3-point favorite, but the Buccaneers won 31-9. In 2018, sports books won less than 1% on the upset victory by the Philadelphia Eagles over the New England Patriots.
