Nevada Democratic Party Chair McCurdy Won't Run For Re-Election

Nevada State Democratic Party Chairman William McCurdy II will not seek re-election next month, the party said.

Under McCurdy's leadership, Democrats took a U.S. Senate seat when Jacky Rosen defeated Republican incumbent Dean Heller, and helped create the first female-majority state Legislature in the country, and took control of the governor’s office for the first time since 1998.

A new chair will be elected March 6.
