Report: Mom Held In 2 Child Deaths Spoke Of Selling Organs

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities in Las Vegas say a 26-year-old woman who is accused of killing her two young daughters told police she didn't have children, didn't recognize their father and spoke about selling the girls' body parts.

A police report said Amanda Sharp-Jefferson told the father that the babies' organs would be worth a lot of money. Sharp-Jefferson was arrested Friday and remains jailed pending a bail hearing Thursday at which she will be represented by an appointed attorney.

A police lieutenant told a newspaper when Sharp-Jefferson was arrested Friday that it was too early to know if she had a mental illness.
