The Nevada COVID-19 Mitigation and Management Task Force will hold an emergency meeting with Washoe County officials Tuesday to discuss their plan to deal with an increase in COVID-19 cases in the county.
The state says Washoe County has seen a jump in cases since September 28, with five weeks in a row with a test positivity rate of 9 percent.
Last week, the Washoe County Health District reported 350 cases in a single day, eclipsing the previous one-day record of 179 cases.
