RENO, Nev. (AP) — An arctic cold front is headed for northern Nevada this weekend.
Single-digit lows are expected Sunday morning in the northeast part of the state and below-freezing temperatures elsewhere.
The National Weather Service says much colder temperatures will move into the entire region Sunday night, with hard freezes in western Nevada and single digits possible in Sierra valleys.

Near-record lows are forecast in northeast Nevada.
Below-zero temperatures are possible in Mountain City and at the Wild Horse Reservoir. Sunday's predicted lows include 5 at Wells and 6 at Carlin and Ely. Reno's high is forecast to drop from 72 Saturday to the low-20s Monday
