LAS VEGAS (AP) — Gov. Steve Sisolak has signed a law giving state unemployment officials more flexibility to attack a backlog of jobless claims.
The measure lawmakers approved during a special session extends benefits for more Nevadans out of work in the state with the highest unemployment rate in the nation 24.9%.
Health officials also said Thursday they believe they have resolved a problem with a vendor causing backlogs in COVID-19 testing results.
