LAS VEGAS (AP) — The Mirage resort on the Las Vegas Strip has reopened for the first time since casinos closed in mid-March due to the coronavirus pandemic.
MGM Resorts International chief Bill Hornbuckle calls Thursday's reopening a step toward economic recovery for employees and the community.
The more than 3,000-room resort is known for its Polynesian island theme, erupting volcano and Secret Garden & Dolphin Habitat attraction.

Restaurants and retail shops will open but live entertainment remains dark, including including "The Beatles LOVE" by Cirque du Soleil.
A few Las Vegas resorts remain closed, including Park MGM, the Cromwell, Planet Hollywood, the Palms and the Rio.
