A “DUI Blitz” Saturday night in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Northeast, Downtown, and Bolden Area commands resulted in the arrests of two dozen drivers.
One of them was arrested for both alcohol and drugs and also five counts of child endangerment because children in the vehicle were not wearing seat belts.
Police made more than 200 vehicle stops and issued 71 citations.

A public information officer for the Nevada Office of Traffic Safety, told KTNV TV that the majority of crashes so far this year have been caused by impaired drivers or speeding.
Nevada has seen more than 130 deadly crashes this year.
