Despite Drop In Hotel Tax Funds, Stadium On Track Authority Says

Hotel tax money marked to fund Allegiant Stadium dropped by about 98 percent in April and May while resorts in Las Vegas were closed.

But the Las Vegas Stadium Authority says the project is still on track to complete construction on time.

Applied Analysis economist Jeremy Aguero said in a board meeting yesterday the project shouldn’t have to use reserve funds to stay on target.

Allegiant Stadium is expected to reach substantial completion by July 31, with opening events scheduled for August and September. Additional work on the building is slated to end in November.
