LAS VEGAS (AP) — Economic signs are dire in Nevada, where the state jobless rate hit a record 22% on Friday - well above the national unemployment rate of 14.7%.
The U.S. mark is as high as the Great Depression.
Nevada's historic skid to a stop came after Gov. Steve Sisolak ordered casinos and many businesses closed in mid-March to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

Some businesses are due to reopen Saturday, but not casinos or music venues.
