The South Point hotel-casino says it will furlough most of its employees for an indefinite period beginning May 3.
The company said in a statement Monday it was a difficult decision resulting from the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the closure mandate through April 30 by Governor Steve Sisolak.
The statement also said the Southpoint will maintain workers’ health benefits through July 31 and that once the property reopens, workers will be brought back based on demand.
