Nevada Elected, Community Leaders Go Online For Census Day

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Nevada is marking Census Day with a livestream question-and-answer marathon featuring local, state and federal elected officials and community organization representatives.

The Facebook stream from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday aims to stress the importance of the every-10-years count of people living in the U.S. It's being hosted by Silver State Voices and the Institute for a Progressive Nevada.

April 1 is the date used to reference where a person lives for the once-a-decade count that helps determine allocations of federal funding.
