More than 71,000 people filed for unemployment in Nevada last week, according to data released Thursday by the U.S. Department of Labor.
The number of jobless claims since mid-March due to the coronavirus is now more than 164,000.
Last week, the state reported a record 93,000 unemployment claims during the week ending March 21.
